My design philosophy is firmly rooted in the conviction that a home should tell a story about the family who lives there: showcasing their passions, their travels and hobbies, even their family history. I’m a lover of layering textures, mixing woods and metals, using both vintage and modern pieces. I truly believe that nature is the ultimate inspiration for beauty, and a well-crafted home should celebrate the natural world. Most, importantly, a well-designed home is simultaneously beautiful and well-lived in: it should continuously evolve to match current lifestyle needs and interests. My philosophy of an imperfect and well-designed home is put to the test daily as a Mum to four energetic and strong-willed kids!

In addition, I’m a compulsive traveler. I’ve lived aboard a sailboat in the Caribbean, lived in a Colorado mountain town, worked in central and southern Africa, travelled around Iceland and the western US in a camper van, and also lived in cosmopolitan cities such as Paris, Montreal, New York City and San Francisco. The places I have lived and visited have really helped me hone my tastes and appreciation for other cultures and lifestyles. A life well-lived, full of family, friends, experiences, and memories is what ultimately creates a home.
